Walking a 5k will be quite an accomplishment. I realized I was in a wheelchair at this time last year due to my stroke. My days were spent in physical therapy learning to walk all over again. I remember being able to walk with a cane for the first time and to stand on my own two feet again at the sink to brush my teeth. I was so thrilled!

Finishing this walk will help me prove to myslf that I can do it. And it's for a great cause.

I'll be joining my sisters Cindy and Lori as we walk in memory of our Mom, Elta Murdock.

p.s. By the way, we are all very competitive too. We're trying to see who can raise the most $$ between the three of us :) Please help me win!!
