Well Michael and I just came back for our latest big trip. We flew to CA for Dave and Cherilyn's wedding, followed by a week in Cabo San Lucas with them. What a great trip! There were 5 of us down there from the West Coast, and 2 others from the East Coast making 7 of us total down there for the week. Here's a photo of the 5 of us left to right - Phil, Dave, Cherilyn, Michael, Karen.
I was surprised this trip with a few "WOW" moments. I was able to run a little bit. But a little bit of running is alot of running compared to not being able to do it at all!
Once we were in the pool in Cabo, I was able to swim! Amazing! I did freestyle, breastroke, backstroke, sidestroke and was able to tread water. All those swimming lessons where Mom had to sit at Edgewood High School pool and watch paid off finally. It all came back to me. My left side was working in harmony with my right side. It was awesome! The resort had floating beds which were great for lounging. They were also great since I could practice my kicking as seen below.
It was so cool to realize how much more mobile I was compared to Cozumel last year. I was able to walk barefoot outside of the pool and enjoy a cocktail or two.
